Heal Your Chapped Lips with Blistex

Although the weather is starting to improve, we have had quite a few cold, horrible spells over the last few weeks, and it’s certainly not doing wonders for our skin. If, like me, you’ve found that your skin has been particularly dry recently, you’ll be glad to know that I might have just found a great solution to help heal our chapped lips.

Of course, we’ve all tried using Vaseline on our lips but it doesn’t always seem to do the trick. So, I had a look at what else was out there, and I found Blistex Intensive Moisturiser.

Like a lot of other products on the market, this lip cream tries to heal your chapped lips by providing them with some well-needed hydration. However, Blistex works by incorporating a number of great products together, including Shea Butter, Camphor, and Allantoin, resulting in a moisturiser that is close to your lips’ natural pH. This means no damaging chemicals, but just pure hydration and care for your lips.

Though your lips may feel a little bit tingly when you first apply it, and you will be able to see the cream on your lips until it soaks in, it really does work wonders.

I would suggest applying once in the morning and once at night, giving your lips the moisture they need all day long. You only need to apply a tiny amount, and within no time you’ll start noticing that your lips will be feeling a lot smoother and soft.

And, to make things even better, it’s incredibly cheap! You can pick this up from Superdrug for just £1.69, and it’ll be sure to last a long time.

As well as using this product, there are a number of other things that you can do to improve the condition of your lips, including staying hydrated and avoiding salty or acidic food, but that’s a matter we can go into another time!

For now, give this product a go and let me know what you think.

Don’t forget to follow, with a new post every day at 6pm during the week, and 1pm on a weekend.

  1. That’s good to know! eos usually does the trick for me, as I don’t get chapped lips very often, but if eos can’t help, I’ll have to look into Blistex 🙂 The bigger problem for me is the tops of my hands; they get really dry when it’s cold outside, it’s the strangest thing ever haha!

    1. I know they were quite popular a while back but I’ve never actually tried it myself, I’ll have to give it a go! But yeah I would say Blistex relieves dry lips pretty quickly which is ideal! Yeah I find mine get quite dry too, as well as areas on my face. I have a tonne of hand/face creams that help, I’ll have to do another post on them soon! X

      1. I love them! They’re a nice lip balm even when your lips aren’t dry; it doesn’t stay sticky and it absorbs pretty quickly. 🙂 Glad the hand and face creams help! It’s awful when I can’t find a moisturizer that helps hahah
