A Weekly Round-Up (No. 4)

It’s April. I’m almost finished my third week of ‘Spring Break’ and I only have two more weeks to go. That’s pretty scary. Where does the time go?

This week I’ve obviously been spending a lot of time revising for my upcoming exams. However, I have made a conscious effort to enjoy myself more, and take some time for myself, which you can find all about here.

Instead of sitting in my house all day and procrastinating, feeling guilty about how little revision I’ve done, I decided to visit a friend in Durham, and it honestly made me feel a lot better about exams, and Uni life in general. In fact, it reminded me that I’m not alone in all of this, which is great. Going to University can definitely be a struggle, more so for some than others, but it’s something we can all get through, especially with some support.

On Thursday I also visited a HUGE Lidl that’s recently opened near by, and I was actually so surprised at how much they had there, and some of the great deals they had on offer. Although, I’m not sure how I feel about their checkouts…but we’ll leave that discussion for another day! While I was there, I stocked up on lots of baking goodies, and treats for Easter. In fact, probably too many. Oh well.

However, I have already used some of the ingredients to make some delicious Easter Rocky Road, and some Enchiladas, recipes for which will be up on the blog very soon! Here’s a little sneak peak.

Mmm. Yum!

And if you can’t wait for that, here’s a super easy recipe for Easter.

Apart from lots of revision and baking, I haven’t been up to much else, except for going on a few nice walks and enjoying the sunshine!

I’m not entirely sure what that is if I’m honest, but it looked cool.

Oh, and I can’t forget, I also got some gels on my nails, and I absolutely love the outcome. How good does this look?! (P.S. yes, these are my real nails!)

Next week I’ll be doing some more travelling, as I’ll be visiting my boyfriend while he’s away with work. So, it’ll be nice to do something a little bit different. Hopefully I’ll find lots of cute little cafes to spend my afternoons in while I wait for him to finish work, and if I do I’ll be sure to take lots of nice snaps for next week’s round-up!

How has your week been?

Don’t forget to follow, with a new post every day at 6pm during the week, and 1pm on the weekend!

  1. Oh that food looks amazing, my mouth is watering just looking st the photos. I’m 100% with you on the uni front right now, my exams start in a few weeks and sometimes it’s just good to take a step away from the books and realise everyone else is in the same boat. Good luck with them! ⭐️
