This week I want to focus on setting goals, and reminding yourself how much you’ve achieved already. Sometimes we all put too much pressure on ourselves, and forget that we’re actually doing incredibly well…so, it’s about time we gave ourselves some praise!
Right now, while you’re reading this, grab a pen and paper and write down 5 goals you’d like to achieve over the next month – whether big or small, it really doesn’t matter.
Starting tomorrow (or today if you like!) put your all into achieving these goals. Each day, make a conscious effort to do something different, and push your limits that little bit.
For example, if you want to lose 4lbs over the next month, break this down into smaller goals, instead of thinking about the scary, bigger picture – you could aim to lose 1lb each week. Easy, right? This could simply mean 30 minutes extra on the treadmill each day, or cutting out your morning coffee and chocolate snack.
Whatever your goal, spend the next 4 weeks putting your all into achieving it.
4 weeks from now, I want you to reflect on the goals you’ve set today and remind yourself of just how far you’ve come. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t done as well as you’d hoped, or if you gave up on one goal completely – it’s all about focusing on your achievements!
In fact, to have even set yourself some goals is an achievement in itself, as it shows you want to push yourself.
Here are my 5 goals:
- Revise for at least 2 hours every day
- Complete a short home workout every day
- Spend more time with my friends and family
- Cut out chocolate as much as I can
- Go into exams feeling positive
What are yours?
Don’t forget to follow, with a new post every day at 6pm during the week, and 1pm on a weekend!
