Monday Motivation: Living For The Weekend

Let’s be honest, most of us hate Mondays; they mean the start of a long week at work, and probably lots of stress too! So, when a Bank Holiday Monday comes around we all try to make the most out of it – heading to the pub with a friend, spending some time with family, or anything else that’s lots of fun! Then, as soon as it hits Tuesday all we can think about is the weekend. Of course, we all do it, but it’s certainly not the best mindset to have.

Living for the weekend means you miss out on your week. Every single day is an opportunity to do something amazing – even if that’s just trying a new recipe, or starting that book you’ve been ‘too busy’ to read.

Remember, life is short so start living in the moment. If that’s not enough to get you motivated, maybe some inspiration quotes will…

A year from now, you will wish you had started today.

– Karen Lamb

One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now.

– Paul Coelho

Whatever you want to do, do it now. There are so many tomorrows.

– Michael Landon

We are always getting ready to live but never living.

― Ralph Waldo Emerson

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living.  We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon – instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

― Dale Carnegie

Which one of those quotes is your favourite? Mine is Dals Carnegie’s, as it really puts things into perspective.

Have a great week!

Don’t forget to follow, with a new post every day at 6pm during the week, and 1pm on a weekend!
